Okay so I’m officially the king of bad puns but I came across a roast dinner recipe that is shear genius (that was my last one, I promise!). A couple of days ago my wife and I decide to have a cook off. We randomly picked main ingredients out of a hat and I was fortunate to have picked lamb. I say I was lucky considering some of the other ingredients in the hat were tripe and salted fish. I’m lazy, so the first thing I did was hit the interweb and I stumbled across a recipe from a man who values time as much as I do: Mr. Jamie Oliver.
Jamie starts off the recipe telling you to buy good local lamb (and if you can’t get to your local butcher, how about bringing some of the best lamb in the UK to you?), this is something that we at BoroughBox fanatically promote, so good on your Mr. Oliver.
As with most of Jamie’s recipes, it was simple to do and was a complete success with the family and our invited friends. You can find the recipe here. So, if you want to impress your better half, that special someone or just to look like the chef de jour to your flatmates make sure and add this one to your recipe book!
BTW, in case you were wondering, I lost the challenge mostly due to bribery and my wife taking on the baked alaska and winning…
