The end of March brings with it Easter plus the far more exciting BoroughBox Discovery Club! Our lucky subscribers will be receiving a some delicious items this month from root beer cordial to some incredible organic linseed oil and some raw chocolate mulberries that are actually good for you – an antidote to the Easter chocolate indulgences.
The brilliant Dr Deborah added the organic linseed oil and it’s a really special addition – check out the dedicated blog post detailing how to get the best from it, including some great recipes, here.
Check out the rest of the items from this month’s box below, if you’ve not yet subscribed then what are you waiting for? Join the club now!
The newest addition by the clever cordial makers at Mr F’s, this Root Beer is made to an original old recipe and is a delicious blend of sarsaparilla, aniseed notes, liquorice root and vanilla beans to name but a few of the ingredients that give it a truly authentic taste.
Try serving over ice with chilled sparkling water and adding some fresh lime and mint for an extra special treat!
This little beauty of a pâté is definitely ‘made in Wales’ with Rosie’s Triple D cider from Llandegla, Blodyn Aur Rapeseed Oil harvested from the whole of North Wales, and pressed a stone’s throw from Ruthin. Seriously Scrumptious.
The combination of home baked jumbo oats, dried fruit, nuts and seeds are designed to make you feel excited, inspired and energised to do more. As a small producer they are able to give care and attention to every single bag of granola made, with the oats being sweetened only with blossom honey and apple juice. The clue is in the title … this stuff is goooood.
The chaps at London Jam Factory are proud to be very selective with their fruit! These stunning creations contain more fruit than sugar making them incredibly tasty and that little bit healthier. Seasonal fruits are sourced from local markets at just the right time and a traditional copper pan cooking method is used.
Made from 100% natural fruit, using a unique air-drying process, Nim’s Fruit Crisps are a crispy, healthy alternative snack. We love them in our office and recommend trying each variety which simply burst with flavour. Perhaps stock these in your cupboard instead of the classic potato snack?!
A brilliant producer focused on raw product, with chocolate being free of any refined sugars, gluten, dairy or preservatives. These naturally sweet & chewy dried mulberries are covered in raw chocolate and dusted with cacao powder. Well we had to put something in for Easter.
Cured Charcuterie from French Comte Co.
Cured meats at their best with this little inclusion.
Lonzo – A traditional pork fillet cured using wine and spices to give the aromatic and refined flavour to the meat.
Coppa – From Italian origins this shoulder of the pork is cured with salt, dried and matured for at least 6 months.
Rosette de Lyon – A salami made from leg of pork seasoned traditional with peppercorns. Tavaillon – Beef fillet cured and marinated slowly in plum brandy before being dried and matured. It has a very aromatic flavour.
That brings to an end another Discovery Club box, we hope that you agree that this month’s box was a big winner, at BoroughBox HQ it’s our favourite box so far.
